On 21 January 2026, at the Headquarters of the Embassy of Viet Nam in India, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai held discussions on people-to-people diplomacy and youth exchanges between Viet Nam and India with a delegation from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The delegation was led by Mr. Hoang Duc Nam, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Youth Affairs Department, and included 12 Vietnamese young representatives as well as members of the Vietnamese Students’ Association in India. The visit took place on the occasion of the delegation’s participation in an exchange programme in New Delhi at the invitation of the National Cadet Corps of India from 19 to 26 January.
