Currently, the Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam is piloting the Pre-arrival Information (PAI) application for foreign nationals entering Viet Nam at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on a voluntary, non-mandatory basis.
The procedures are as follows:
Step 1: Access the website at:
https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn
Or scan the QR code provided in the attached image.
Step 2: Select the appropriate language (Vietnamese, English, Chinese, French, etc.).
Step 3: Select “Create and Submit Declaration”. Enter the CAPTCHA verification code. Declare passenger information, visa information and travel information in accordance with the instructions provided by the system.
Step 4: Upon completion of the declaration, the system will generate a QR code for passengers to use during immigration procedures. Passengers are advised to save the QR code on their mobile phone or print it out for convenient use upon arrival at the immigration checkpoint.
Note: During the implementation of the PAI system, several fraudulent websites impersonating the official platform have been detected for the purpose of scamming users and misappropriating funds via credit cards. Passengers are strongly advised to access only the official website of the Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam through the link provided above.
