Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai meets with enterprises from the information technology industry

On the afternoon of March 23, 2023, at the Viet Nam Embassy in India, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai had a meeting with the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) and other enterprises from the information technology industry in Vietnam.

On behalf of the Association, Mr. An Ngoc Thao, Deputy Secretary General, said that Vietnam is emerging as one of the centers of digital technology and information technology – communication in the ASEAN region. Vietnam is focusing on developing digital government, digital economy, digital society and establishing Vietnamese digital businesses.

Enterprises from the delegation are typical enterprises in information technology and digital transformation, exporting software to countries in the region and around the world, typically exporting and outsourcing software for Japanese businesses, there are some businesses that already have cooperation with India.

Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai welcomed the delegation to attend trade and service promotion programs and meet partners in India.

The Ambassador said that India is a country with growing strength in information technology and the two countries have great potential for cooperation in this field. A number of Indian enterprises have established business bases in Vietnam. For example: FPT Corporation has also established a company in India. The Ambassador said that Vietnamese businesses need to boldly research investment cooperation opportunities with India and asked the Trade Office to coordinate with VINASA to build a national promotion program in India.
