On March 7, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP on visa exemption for citizens of 12 countries. This resolution will be effective from March 15, 2025, until March 14, 2028, and will be subject to extension based on Vietnam’s legal regulations.
Accordingly, the Vietnamese government grants visa exemptions for citizens of the following countries: the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of France, the Republic of Italy, the Kingdom of Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Russian Federation, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Kingdom of Norway, and the Republic of Finland. This exemption allows for a stay of up to 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, provided that all entry conditions stipulated by Vietnamese law are met.
Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022, and Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023, will expire as of March 15, 2025.
