In response to the call of General Secretary and President To Lam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, the Viet Nam Embassy in India organized a fundraising event on the afternoon of November 9, 2024, to support those affected by Typhoon Yagi. The embassy called on all officers, staff, and their spouses to contribute at least one day’s salary to help alleviate the storm’s impact. Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai also urged the Vietnamese community in India to uphold the tradition of mutual support by joining in this effort.
During the event, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai, along with the embassy’s staff and their spouses, made their contributions.
