Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO Hoàng Đạo Cương, paid a working visit to the Embassy of Viet Nam in India (9/12/2025)

On 09 December 2025, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO Hoàng Đạo Cương, paid a working visit to the Embassy of Viet Nam in India. The delegation also included Mai Sơn, Vice Chairman of the Bắc Ninh Provincial People’s Committee. During the meeting, the delegation exchanged views with Ambassador Nguyễn Thanh Hải on measures to strengthen cultural and tourism cooperation between Viet Nam and India.

Deputy Minister Hoàng Đạo Cương highly appreciated the strong development of bilateral cooperation in recent years, particularly the rapid increase in direct flights connecting major cities of Viet Nam and India. Currently, the two countries operate approximately 90 direct flights per week, which has contributed significantly to promoting cultural and tourism exchanges as well as enhancing mutual understanding and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. Vice Chairman of the Bắc Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Mai Sơn briefed the meeting on the development of Bắc Ninh province and expressed his desire to further deepen cooperation between Bắc Ninh and India, including by leveraging the province’s UNESCO-recognized heritage elements, notably Đông Hồ folk paintings, in order to attract more Indian tourists to the province.
