On 11 November 2025, at the campus of Amity University in Noida, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai attended the Opening Ceremony of Startup Flight 2025 – Bootcamp. The event brought together a large number of mentors, investors, and startup teams from both countries. Startup Flight 2025 is an initiative jointly launched by the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), Vietjet Air, the Union of National Startup Enterprises (UNUP), the Vietnam Trade Office in India, Amity University (India), and their partners, with the aim of fostering innovation ecosystem connectivity between Viet Nam and India.

In his opening remarks, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla – Vice Chancellor of Amity University – emphasized Amity’s vision of linking the university–industry–investment ecosystem to incubate innovative solutions from Viet Nam and India. She affirmed that Amity stands ready to provide laboratory infrastructure, co-working spaces, expert and investor networks, as well as co-incubation and co-research programs, expressing hope that Startup Flight 2025 will generate viable pilot models, market linkages, and investment opportunities for startup teams.

Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai welcomed the Vietnamese and Indian startup communities participating in the event and stressed that the Startup Flight 2025 competition is “a vivid symbol of Viet Nam–India cooperation in connecting technology ecosystems, promoting young talent, and nurturing breakthrough ideas.” The Ambassador underscored that innovation and entrepreneurship are “an essential pillar of cooperation, a driver of productivity and competitiveness, and a common language enabling both countries to connect ecosystems, share knowledge, and open pathways to future industries.” He expressed confidence that Startup Flight 2025 would succeed and serve as a catalyst for a new phase of collaboration between the startup ecosystems of Viet Nam and India.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai witnessed the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between Vietnamese and Indian partners, including: CYC Academy (Viet Nam) and Amity Technology Incubator (India); the National Startup Support Center – NSSC (Viet Nam) and Amity Technology Incubator (India); Success Academy (Viet Nam) and Amity Technology Incubator (India). The MOUs aim to promote cooperation in incubation, mentoring, product testing, and the sharing of expert and investor networks.

The opening activities of the “Startup Flight – Bootcamp” commenced with the announcement of the Viet Nam–India Innovation Gateway at the NASSCOM Center of Excellence in Gurugram, along with the signing of MOUs between NSSC, UNUP, and Indian partners. This was followed by presentations from startup teams, group mentoring and coaching sessions, and team-building activities. The first season of “Startup Flight” was launched on 23 August 2025 and has received 584 applications from individuals and startup groups in both Viet Nam and India. The final round will take place in Viet Nam on 12–14 December 2025.

The participation and messages delivered by Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai at the Opening Ceremony of Startup Flight 2025 – Bootcamp reflect the strong support and commitment of both the Ambassador personally and the Embassy of Viet Nam in India toward the startup community, and their efforts to promote collaborative ties between the two countries in innovation and entrepreneurship.
