On 2 December 2025, the Government of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 389/NQ-CP on the addition of international border gates permitting foreign nationals to enter and exit Vietnam using electronic visas (e-visas).

Accordingly, Vietnam has added 41 international border gates, including 4 international airports, 11 land border crossings, and 26 seaports. These have been incorporated into the list of international border gates allowing entry and exit with e-visas as stipulated in Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP dated 14 August 2023 of the Government of Vietnam.

As a result, the total number of international border gates in Vietnam that allow entry and exit with e-visas now stands at 83, including 17 international airports, 27 land border crossings, and 39 seaports (1)

The expansion of the e-visa entry and exit points aims to facilitate travel for foreign nationals, while also contributing to the promotion of tourism, investment, and international exchanges.
