1. General Instructions
- Criminal Record/Police certificate is a Certificate issued by the Vietnam Provincial Justice Department to individuals including Vietnamese Citizens and Foreigners in response to their request in relation to criminal convictions while residing in Vietnam.
- There are two (02) types of criminal record: Form number 1 and form number 2. Citizenship and Immigration of India often requires Criminal record form number 2 to those who try to apply for Indian citizenship.
- Criminal Record dossier (Form + a copy of passport) must be sent to the Embassy of Vietnam in India for legalisation.
2. How to apply for criminal records
- Applicant can send the legalised form for Criminal Record, directly to the National Centre for Criminal Record relevant to the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam at 58-60 Tran Phu Str, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Vietnam (Before mailing your dossier, please contact the National Centre for Criminal Record to make sure that your dossier is well prepared and how to pay fees). Otherwise, applicant can authorise the Vietnam Embassy to submit on its behalf (Please contact our officers at +91 7303625588 for more detail).
- Please note that your signed Criminal Record form (Click here to download) must be legalised by the Embassy of Vietnam in India along with a copy of your valid passport.
- Processing time : 5-7 business days since the receipt of your complete application.
- All the fees are collected in INR. Payments can be made by money order, bank draft, payable to “The Embassy of Vietnam in India”
