On the occasion of the 50th National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (02 December 1975 – 02 December 2025) and the 105th birth anniversary (13 December 1920 – 13 December 2025) of President Kaysone Phomvihane, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai on 01 December 2025 led a delegation of the Embassy of Viet Nam in India to extend congratulations at the Embassy of Laos in New Delhi. The Delegation included representatives from the Office of the Defence Attaché, the Trade Office, the Science and Technology Office, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), together with several other functional units of the Embassy.

During the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai warmly congratulated the Lao Party, State, and people on their significant and historic achievements over the past 50 years of national construction and development; and reaffirmed that Viet Nam always attaches great importance to the relationship of “Great Friendship, Special Solidarity, Comprehensive Cooperation, and Strategic Attachment” between the two countries. The Ambassador also expressed profound respect for the role and legacy of President Kaysone Phomvihane, one of the great leaders who, together with President Ho Chi Minh, laid the foundations for the special bond between the two nations.

Ambassador Bounmy Vanmany, the Lao Ambassador to India, expressed sincere appreciation for the warm sentiments and attention from Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai and the Embassy of Viet Nam in India, and affirmed Laos’ commitment to further strengthening the special Laos–Viet Nam relationship in an increasingly profound and effective manner.
