On the morning of April 23, Ambassador of Vietnam to India H.E. Nguyen Thanh Hai held a working meeting with Dr. Praveen Kumar S, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science and Technology of India. The meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in New Delhi, focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of science and technology.
During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on measures to deepen collaboration in scientific and technological innovation, including the exchange of delegations, networking among experts and scientists, and co-hosting seminars and forums on innovation and startups. They also explored academic exchange programs, government scholarship initiatives, and technology-oriented vocational training as means to provide greater access for Vietnamese students and young professionals to India’s advanced scientific ecosystem.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Embassy of Vietnam in India has actively promoted science and technology diplomacy in line with the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, which outlines strategic breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. As part of this effort, the Embassy has organized two notable events: the Vietnam–Kerala Business Forum on February 21, 2025, focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship, and the Vietnam–India Startup Workshop on April 2, 2025.
These initiatives reflect the Embassy’s continued commitment to fostering robust scientific and technological partnerships, thereby contributing to the further deepening of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and India.
