On 31 October 2020, Dr. Do Thanh Hai, DCM of the Embassy of Vietnam, addressed the 30th Annual General Meeting of Indo-Vienamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the topic of Opportunities for Trade between Vietnam and India in the post – Covid 19.
Dr. Do Thanh Hai is of the conviction that the trade between Vietnam and India will be propelled by the revival of demands, strong prospective economic growth in both countries, and supply chain restructuring across the region when the pandemic recedes. Still, for a longer term, the two countries need to find new drivers for trade expansion, especially from structural reforms in both countries, investments and tourism. It is good sign that the trade between the two countries picked up in August 2020 to the level of the previous year.
