Vietnamese, Indian navies held consultation

The Vietnamese Navy and the Indian Navy held the 5th consultation session of the staff in Hai Phong on Wednesday.

The meeting was chaired by Rear Admiral Pham Van Hung, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnamese Navy and Rear Admiral Nirbhay Bapna, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indian Navy.

The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation over the past three years and agreed to further bilateral cooperation in the coming time.

Over the past years, the bilateral cooperation between the two navies has developed steadily, particularly in naval consultations, hydro-graphic cooperation, training, and exchanges of naval ships.

In the coming time, they will continue to  exchange high-level delegations, maintain dialogue mechanisms, naval consultation, exchange of experience in training, technical assurance, hydro-graphic, submarine cooperation, search and rescue and training.
