On 30 October 2020, DCM Do Thanh Hai had an exchange with Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, Director General of the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) and his colleagues about the cooperative activities between the Embassy and the Foundation on virtual platform. Defense Attache Pham The Hung and Head of Political Section Nguyen Ngoc Dung also attended the meeting.
The two sides are committed to move forward with greater frequency of interactions which would bring up more meetings and workshops on traditional and non-traditional security challenges across the region. The NMF is amongst India’s foremost think-tanks. It is unique in the sense that it is the only think-tank in India that concentrates solely upon India’s maritime domain. However, the focus of its research is holistic and is not confined to “maritime issues” only.
