African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), is organizing an Online International Training Programme on “A Panorama of Affordable Innovative Technologies and Solutions for Rural Development”, Chennai, India, during 22 March – 01 April 2021, exclusively for AARDO member countries.
The broad objective of the programme is to sensitize the participants about adaptation of innovative and affordable rural technologies and share their experiences. The specific objectives of the programme are:
– to provide a forum for sharing innovative affordable technologies among AARDO member countries;
– to develop framework and policies for transfer of rural technologies;
– to use innovative affordable rural technologies for raising the living standard of rural people; and
– to create awareness towards replacing traditional/obsolete technologies with environmentally friendly and climate resilient technologies.
The course content, which is more fully described in attached brochure, would, inter alia, cover postharvest technologies and technologies enhancing small farmers’ productivity, access to value chains, collectivization, traceability and financial inclusion.
The e-training course would be conducted on Zoom as per following:
Duration/Days : Two Weeks (Monday to Thursday) – 8 days
Session Timings : 14.00 to 16.00 hours {IST: Indian Standard Time (GMT+05:30) (Candidates to kindly check corresponding local time – zone)

i) Zoom account (Zoom id)
ii) Sufficient computer space to run Zoom smoothly.

After primary screening of the application, e-Pass will be issued to attend the online training.
On completion of the e-training, trainees would be assessed/evaluated through interactive session for the award of e-Certificate.
